Kaitlyn H.
Kaitlyn is a senior at Plano Senior High School and is honored to serve as Texas governor. She joined JSA her freshman year and fell in love with the organization after attending Fall State 2019, where she bonded with peers from different backgrounds and different viewpoints across the state.
Kaitlyn first joined cabinet as a debate agent, where she navigated to make a virtual Spring State 2020 happen in the midst of a pandemic. She then was selected as a delegate to the Montezuma Leadership Summit, where she gained invaluable knowledge on running an effective state and learned how JSA worked on the national level. From there, she served as Assistant Convention Coordinator and then Convention Coordinator where she planned the first in-person convention in two years.
As governor, Kaitlyn is focused on growing Texas JSA to its pre-pandemic levels through a heightened focus on chapter sustainability. She hopes to give back to Texas JSA all that it has given her throughout the years.
Outside of JSA, Kaitlyn serves on her school’s student council. You can find her walking her dog, a West Highland White Terrier named Milou, or finding new recipes to try out.
