About the Organization

Established in 1934, Junior State of America (JSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan youth organization with chapters in more than 300 high schools across 20 states and eight US territories. JSA's mission is to prepare a diverse community of high school students to participate in our democracy. JSA offers hands-on, student-led civic programs designed to activate the talents of young people, instilling values of respect and understanding, and inspiring them to be a new generation of American leaders. Meet JSA Changemakers

For over 88 years, JSA has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of high school students across the country. Many of them fill roles as entrepreneurs, activists, lawyers, elected officials, and more.
