About the Organization

Established in 1934, Junior State of America (JSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan youth organization with chapters in more than 300 high schools across 20 states and eight US territories. JSA's mission is to prepare a diverse community of high school students to participate in our democracy. JSA offers hands-on, student-led civic programs designed to activate the talents of young people, instilling values of respect and understanding, and inspiring them to be a new generation of American leaders.
