Shravan S.

Governor of Northern California

Shravan S. is a member of JSA’s Council of Governors. He represents the JSA Pacific Coast Region and is a senior at Maria Carrillo High School. As the JSA Pacific Coast Governor, Shravan is responsible for leading the daily operations of the state’s cabinet and facilitating positive memories for underclassmen and newer members of JSA. He ensures that all statewide conventions go smoothly and also works closely with other members of CoG and directors at the national level.

Shravan has been an active JSA member of his high school chapter since 2021. He joined JSA because he wanted to explore his passion for government and politics and to meet many more like-minded people. He also became very drawn to his state’s cabinet and the idea of being in leadership positions where he can help people. During his time in JSA, Shravan has held several leadership roles, serving as Director of Convention, CIA Agent, mayor of his region, and the advertiser for his chapter. He has been recognized with his work and performance within local religious and ethnic organizations, arts programs, as well as his local immigration services. In 2022, he was also recognized as a graduate of JSA’s Montezuma Leadership Conference.

Outside of JSA, Shravan plays guitar and is involved in music through both school programs as well as self-teaching, and also works for his community’s immigration legal services. He participates in tennis programs in and out of school and has been an active volunteer for the North Bay Hindu Center for several years. Influenced by his multicultural childhood with an affinity for languages since birth, Shravan is passionate about making a difference in the nation’s heavily intertwined immigration and criminal justice systems, because it impacts many in his local community. He hopes to attend college and pursue a legal career to continue his political engagement and create change.
