Hannah G.

Governor of Northeast

Hannah G. is a member of the Junior State of America’s (JSA) Council of Governors and serves as its chair. She represents the JSA Northeast region and is a senior at Amity Regional High School. As the JSA Northeast Governor, Hannah is responsible for organizing the Council of Governors, presiding over her state, and serving as the liaison between the Council of Governors and the national cabinet.

Hannah has been an active JSA member of her high school chapter since her freshman year. She joined JSA because she was enthralled with the brilliant balance between debate and activism at the core of JSA. During her time at JSA, Hannah has held several roles serving as the Northeast Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, her chapter’s vice president, a Northeast Chapter Internal Affairs agent, and her chapter’s Director of Member Engagement. She has been recognized with multiple best speaker awards, and her chapter was a 2023 recipient of the Chapter of the Year Award.

Outside of JSA, Hannah is actively involved as a volunteer for her town’s local library, Editor-in-Chief for her school’s award-winning newspaper, and in civics within her town, serving as a representative on her town’s youth service board. She is passionate about making a difference in the ongoing mental health crisis because she believes that everyone deserves access to the support and resources they need to thrive. Having experienced the profound impact that mental health challenges can have on individuals and their families, she is dedicated to breaking the stigma and advocating for better mental health care for all. Hannah looks forward to attending college and earning degrees in English and Political Science.
