Clara S.

Clara S. is a member of the Junior State of America’s (JSA) Council of Governors, National Cabinet. She represents the JSA ORV region and is a senior at Columbus Academy High School. As the JSA ORV Governor, Clara is responsible for leading her state’s Cabinet, running conventions, and facilitating state-wide growth, especially in the outer regions of the ORV.

Clara has been an active JSA member of her high school chapter for four years. She joined JSA because she wanted to become a better speaker and learn from other people’s perspectives, but she stayed in JSA because of the amazing people she’s met. During her time at JSA, Clara has held several roles serving as CIA agent, CIA Director, Chapter officer, and Chapter President. She has been nominated for JSA’s Director of the Year award, and currently serves as the Secretary of the Council of Governors.

Outside of JSA, Clara is actively involved in sports, jazz band, volunteering with the Special Olympics Track team, and CAMS, a club she founded for students taking Mandarin at her high school. She is passionate about making a difference in international economy and environmental policy because of her belief in the necessity of global regulation.
