Aashna R.
Aashna is a Senior at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) and is honored to be serving as the 2022-2023 Southern California JSA Governor. She first heard about JSA the summer before her Freshman year and was fascinated by a non-partisan student-run operation, appealing to her interest in politics. Ever since her first convention, she knew JSA was extremely special and unlike other school experiences. JSA then became an outlet for her to express her beliefs and share them with peers, and quickly grew her interest in leadership. She first joined State Cabinet during her Sophomore year and has previously served as SoCal’s Assistant Convention Coordinator and Convention Coordinator. In her chapter, she has served as the Director of Debate, Vice-President, and now Chapter President.
Outside of JSA, Aashna is incredibly passionate about the arts. At OCSA, she is in the Classical Voice Conservatory, where she studies and performs Opera and choral music, as well as competes as a soloist with Opera arias and Musical Theater. She also loves to express herself through other creative outlets such as figure skating, fashion, theater, and sewing. This coming year, Aashna hopes to provide more opportunities in JSA for innovation. She is very excited to see the future of JSA unfold!
