Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic

Established in 1988, the Mid-Atlantic (MAS) spans from New Jersey to Virginia, and includes chapters from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. Within MAS, there are two separate regions: the New Jersey Region and the South Atlantic.

Student Leaders

JSA MAS is driven by student members who are given the autonomy and responsibility to plan and execute civics-focused discussions, events, and activism projects throughout the year.

Arnu B., MAS Governor

Arnuv B. is a member of Junior State of America’s (JSA) Council of Governors. He represents the JSA Mid-Atlantic State (MAS) region and is a senior at Edison Academy Magnet School. As the JSA MAS Governor, Arnuv is responsible for managing debate, public relations, activism, and conventions within the state.

The governor is supported by key student leaders who ensure the success of all school year programming and events at the state level.

Arnuv B.

Governor of Mid-Atlantic

Arnuv B. is a member of Junior State of America’s (JSA) Council of Governors. He represents the JSA Mid-Atlantic State (MAS) region and is a senior at Edison Academy Magnet School. As the JSA MAS Governor, Arnuv is responsible for managing debate, public relations, activism, and conventions within the state.
Arnuv has been an active JSA member of his high school chapter since 2020. He joined JSA because of his long-standing interest in debate and leadership. During his time at JSA, Arnuv has held several roles serving as his chapter’s president and his region’s chief of staff. He has been recognized with numerous state Best Speaker awards and currently serves as the Council of Governors’ vice chair.

Outside JSA, Arnuv is actively involved in soccer, both as a fan and a player, and Model United Nations. He is passionate about making a difference in youth civic engagement, one of the main focuses of JSA itself. Arnuv looks forward to attending college and earning a degree in engineering.
