Support for Fundraising
We encourage students who need large scholarships to apply for a Junior Statesmen Scholarship and to raise funds in their local community. Many service clubs, community organizations and school sources are able to provide scholarships to students in their area.
School administrators, teachers, and The Junior Statesmen Foundation staff often are able to help arrange these scholarships.
Most Summer School students pay their tuition with funds from a combination of sources including local scholarships, family funds and Junior Statesmen scholarships. Last year, Foundation scholarships and community-raised funds contributed over $900,000 to summer tuition. If you start now and follow the directions in the Fundraising Manual, you should succeed in your fundraising efforts.
Junior Statesmen Fundraising Academy
We recognize the challenge of local fundraising and offer help to students who try to raise funds locally. Through a series of webinars, students and their parents can participate in the Junior Statesmen Fundraising Academy and put together a fundraising strategy to raise the portion of the tuition not covered by your family’s funds and your scholarship award. With the help of our step-by-step Fundraising Manual, combined with the personal assistance offered by our friendly and experienced staff, a majority of students conquer the financial challenge of raising the tuition.
