For over 75 years, JSA has prepared young people to thrive in our increasingly interconnected world. Our international programs prepare young leaders for college and provide them with the “21st Century skills” they need to be successful in our global economy. Those skills and competencies include knowledge of the global economy and political processes, the ability to communicate and work well with others (especially across cultures), critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and innovation.
Our flagship educational offering is the JSA Diplomat program in Beijing, China. In this month-long Summer program, students can earn college credit and master leadership and diplomacy skills through hands-on exploration of the history and diversity of modern China. Each Summer, young leaders from all over the world come together to study international relations at the JSA Summer School at Princeton, Stanford or Georgetown University. We also offer shorter, leadership institutes that focus in-depth on global issues, such as our National Security Institute at Princeton University. Experiential learning is a core component of all of our programs. In addition to lectures from prominent experts, students may meet with and question public officials, engage in debates and community service projects, or represent other countries in Model U.N. or comparable simulations. They also make lifelong friendships with students from all over the world. Together, these experiences help our students become more informed on global issues and give them the skills to survive and thrive in our world.
We encourage you to explore this site and hear from our staff, our students and their parents about their experiences with JSA International. We look forward to seeing you at one of our programs this Summer!
