A Celebration. A Forum for Debate. A Unique Political Experience for High School Students.

The 2012 Presidential Election Symposium will put you in the center of this year’s “Road to the White House.” Each Symposiom takes place during a National Party Convention and brings together outstanding students, prominent political leaders, and a unique bipartisan format of educational activities that will challenge you to hone your leadership and speaking skills. You won’t just learn about politics, you’ll live it!

At the Democratic National Convention Symposium and the Republican National Convention Symposium, you will:

• Meet and question Members of Congress and other elected officials, campaign leaders,convention delegates, journalists and political activists during a bipartisan Speakers Program that includes guests from both major parties as well as non-partisan experts.
• Attend on-site and off-site convention events, includingstate delegation meetings and youth caucus activities.
• Get a glimpse behind the scenes of Election 2012, throughvisits to press centers and campaign headquarters.
• Learn the building blocks of a successful campaign,including workshops on political communication and campaign leadership.
• Debate major policy issues and make friends with other studentleaders from across the country!
