Staples High School’s JSA Chapter Featured in Local Media

Staples’ JSA chapter, in Westport, Conn. was written-up in the Minuteman News Center for it’s ability to develop student leaders in the Northeast State and in their own school.

“This year, Staples junior Jacob Meisel was elected governor of the Northeast State, and Cole DeMonico was elected vice mayor of the region.” Chapter Advisor, James D’Amico was quoted in the article saying, ““I listen to students at these conventions, and I wonder why they’re not the real politicians. They’re not only debating — they’re also listening to each other, making alliances and compromising. They’re idealistic, but they’re also pragmatic. JSA gives me lots of hope for the future.”
