A Note to Teachers
The Election 2012 Conference can serve as a valuable educational supplement for any civics, government or history curriculum. This simulation of the election process is a fascinating and rousing way for your students to experience the drama, power and excitement of presidential politics. Delegates will learn as much about the process by which we select our president as they do about the candidates and issues involved. Students will leave the conference qualified and eager to become responsible voting citizens. This is a unique opportunity for students from many different schools and backgrounds to come together and discuss the future of the nation. Teachers are encouraged to attend the conference and serve as a valuable resource for their students. Teachers may encourage students to attend and participate individually or may make arrangements with your school to bring students as a group accompanied by a school representative.
Adult staff members of the Junior Statesmen Foundation will be at each of the conferences to provide supervision.
Preregistration
If you would like to bring 20 or more students to one of the conferences, you may preregister your students. Please see the registration instructions for the Election 2012 Conference near you.
