In-Kind Donations, Matching Gifts, and Planned Giving

In-Kind Donations

JSA also welcomes in-kind donations.  Please call Matt Patchell, chief development officer, at 650-393-7656, to discuss your particular situation.

Matching Gifts

You may also want to find out whether or not your employer offers a matching grant or matching gift program to double private gifts made to charitable organizations.  For example, your gift of $50 could be turned into a $100 gift toward JSA programs or scholarships.

The process is simple: Contact your supervisor or human resource department and ask for a matching grant form.  Fill out the form and mail it to the indicated address.  The human resources department will receive your gift, finish filling out the form and send both your gift and the corporate matching gift to JSA.  Some restrictions may apply.

If you have any further questions about giving opportunities, please call Matt Patchell, chief development officer, at 650-393-7656, for assistance

Planned Giving

Let us know that our mission to inspire young people to actively participate in our democracy is important to you by leaving a bequest in your will.

Be part of our Ernest A. Rogers Society

JSA honors every planned gift donor with membership in the Ernest A. Rogers Society.  Prof. Rogers was the founder of JSA, whose vision was to cultivate well-educated and active citizens who took upon themselves the duties of civic engagement and leadership.

We invite you to become a member of the Professor Ernest A. Rogers Society, a legacy society created exclusively to honor and recognize people who share Prof. Rogers’ vision and goals to inspire young people to participate in political discussion and debate by including the Junior Statesmen Foundation in their wills, trusts, or estate plans.  As a member of JSA’s Ernest A. Rogers Society, you’ll receive a certificate of appreciation to serve as a reminder to others of your support of our mission.  Your gift can be recognized publicly, unless you prefer to give anonymously. The society also provides information and assistance to donors considering a planned gift.

What is the next step?

If you have already arranged for a bequest or other planned gift, we would like to honor your support.  Please notify us and become a member.  If you are still considering such a gift, let us know so we can help you and your advisors complete your gift in a way that benefits your estate and makes clear your intention to help JSA.
