The JSA Alumni Association reconnects you with the passion and friendships you loved as a high school student.

We invite you to join our group for $25 per year and be identified with a special notation in the JSA Alumni Directory.

We also offer regional alumni committees that host alumni events each year:

Washington D.C. The Washington JSA Alumni and Friends Committee holds an annual event in conjunction with the JSA Summer School at Georgetown University. At the Summer School Congressional Reception on Capitol Hill, JSA Alumni and Friends gather to honor the current students and enjoy the Statesman of the Year Award Ceremony. Recent speakers include former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Minetta, U.S. Sen. John McCain, U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel, U.S. Sen. Bob Graham, U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier and White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

Northern California Our Northern California Alumni Committee is our oldest and most active committee. The committee holds frequent events, some are small events at The Junior Statesmen Foundation headquarters in San Mateo, Calif., while others include a large annual reception and speaker in San Francisco (including our 75th Anniversary Gala at the Top of the Mark). Recent speakers have included CIA Director Leon Panetta, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese, former White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry and former U.S. Secretary of Defense William Perry.

Southern California The Southern California JSA Alumni and Friends Committee has held several events in the past few years, including student/alumni debates at JSA overnight conventions and a gala dinner to celebrate JSA’s 75th anniversary in Southern California. Recent speakers have included Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti. The committee also hosted a public communications boot camp for alumni with renowned speech coach Richard Breene.

New York The New York/New Jersey JSA Alumni and Friends Committee was launched in 2004 with a fun event at the Republican National Nominating Convention in New York City. An alumni panel discussion on “The state of the Republican Party” was followed by a cocktail reception. Alumni gather on an annual basis at our Princeton Summer School and join our students at the United Nations’ program.

Pacific Northwest The Pacific Northwest JSA Alumni and Friends Committee was launched in 2004 with a very successful event held at JSA’s PNW Spring State Convention. PNW alumni gather at JSA conventions each year for alumni-student debates, networking and mentoring of current JSA students.
