Leader of the West Coast white-collar defense practice in the Los Angeles office of the Tampa, Fla. law firm Holland & Knight LLP, Vince Farhat earlier spent eight years with the U.S. Attorney’s office in the California Central District, where he was in charge of health-care fraud prosecutions.
Before joining the U.S. Justice Department, Farhat was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Jones Day, where he specialized in complex business litigation. He served as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Edward Rafeedie in the 1998-1999 term.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Farhat worked as a commercial real estate broker and property manager.
In addition to the JSA board of directors, Farhat serves on the board of Foothill Family Service, is a member of the City of Pasadena Transportation Advisory Commission, and teaches at Loyola Law School as an adjunct professor.
A graduate of University High School in Los Angeles, Farhat served as mayor of the JSA Angeles Region in 1983-84, and attended JSA summer schools at U.C. Davis and Georgetown.
