Jon Fleischman

Since 2001, Jon Fleischman has been the publisher of the FlashReport on California Politics, which provides news and opinion on Golden State politics from the right to center-right perspective; he is also president of the Fleischman Consulting Group of Irvine, Calif.

Before to opening his company, Fleischman served for six years as deputy director for media and public relations for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, where he still volunteers as a uniformed reseve deputy sheriff. From 1999-2001, Fleischman was the executive director of the California Republican Party, the state GOP’s top staff position.

Additionally, he is the vice chairman, south, of the California Republican Party, a job he’s held since 2007. From 1995-1997, Fleischman served as president of the California Republican Assembly and for 2½ years he was a member of the California Boating and Waterways Commission. He has also served as a planning commissioner in Irvine and was the campaign coordinator on state Prop. 227.

Fleischman was a member of the Junior State in the mid-1990s, served on the Angeles Region Cabinet, was a member and president of the Downtown Business Magnet High School Chapter and attended the USC Summer Symposium in 1995.
