Harris Seed

Harris W. Seed has been president of the Alice Tweed Tuohy Foundation since 1973 and chief executive officer since 1977. The Alice Tweed Tuohy Foundation is a private foundation which makes grants to charitable organizations within the Santa Barbara, Calif. area.

Seed was chairman of the board of La Cumbre Savings Bank from 1982 to 1995. He was a practicing attorney for 40 years until his retirement from the practice of law in 1993. He was general counsel and secretary of GRC International Inc. of Vienna, Va. and from 1983 to 1985 he served as vice chairman of GRC. He is a former director (and former chairman) of Surgical Eye Expeditions Inc.

Seed attended JSA Summer School in 1943.
