Do you believe that nobody should be denied a JSA school-year experience because of lack of funds?
JSA uses a cutting-edge online fundraising tool to help make sure that “no one gets left behind.” Follow the easy instructions below and you will be up and running in minutes. Hint: don’t cut corners, and don’t improvise. Follow these instructions line by line.
the chapter president, teacher advisor or state fundraising director creates an “individual” page on the Junior Statesmen Foundation StayClassy template. (The template already has general JSA/JSF organizational information that will populate when you create your page.) Just go to www.stayclassy.org/JSAChapterFundraising
, and follow the instructions to create an “individual” page.
Next, click on the “My Story” tab of the “individual” page you just created. Then, click the green “Create or Join Team” button. Use the search function to find your team’s page, and join it as as individual team member if it has already been created. Or, If your chapter (or state) team has not created a team page yet, please follow the links and do so now. Customize it with a photos and inclusion of your school chapter name (or JSA state) in the goals statement. ( Chapter teams must be named in the format, “Lincoln High School JSA.”)
once the team page is created other chapter members or supporters (parents, teachers, relatives) can sign on and join the fundraising team. Just direct them to“www.stayclassy.org/JSAChapterFundraising
“ and to click on the green “Start Your Page” button.
Finally, follow these guidelines and others that will be shared with you when you create your page:
- Use or customize the provided language to send social media and email messages, from within the StayClassy site, out to friends, neighbors, relatives, and anyone who cares about YOU and the importance of engaging teens the leadership development opportunity of a lifetime.
- Follow the best practices laid out in the tool: follow up messages with personal phone calls, and always thank your supporters personally.
- Spread the word and refer to www.JSA.org/ChapterFundraising.
Welcome to the campaign to ensure that the JSA experience is available to students from ALL walks of life!
